MA

The value of merger and acquisition operations in the last quarter of 2012 has reached $690 billion, which is the highest point since five years ago. The overall figure is $2.2 trillion, 9 percentage points less than in 2011.

The US oil and gas, and telecommunications sectors registered most movements during the past months.

Companies’ cash position, globally, has overcome the $3 trillion mark. Analysts expect it to support corporative operations in 2013, provided developed economies improve their stance and management of currency convertibility risk in the euro zone.
